"When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be."
I am an experienced counsellor and supervisor who is committed to providing a high quality of professional practice. I offer a safe and respectful environment to enable clients to explore their issues in a non judgemental confidential space, the counselling is tailored to suit the individual needs of the client be that short or long term therapy.
I am an Accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) membership no. 682700, and adhere to their code of practice and ethical standards - www.bacp.co.uk
My background is in nursing working with Children, Adults and Neonates in an Intensive Care environment. Following retraining as a Counsellor I have worked in the Voluntary Sector developing and managing a Counselling Service, this involved working in partnership with the local Primary Care Trust supporting the Government's Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Programme. I have also facilitated a support group working with survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse. At present along with running my own Private Practice I work with a number of Health Care Companies delivering Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP's) supporting employees to deal with personal and work related problems that are impacting on their work performance, health, and wellbeing.
I continue to undergo training and study as a commitment to my ongoing personal and professional development.
